WE LOVE KIDS
Wednesday Northfiled Night - 6:30 PM
Known, Valued, and Loved...
These three words are so important in the lives of children. As they grow in their faith, the idea of being known valued and loved by their creator as well as others is essential to becoming fully devoted followers of Christ. Between our Sunday Morning Children's Church and Wednesday Family Night, our teachers and small group leaders create and environment that fosters community, allows for learning, and allows children to discover their worth.
SUNDAY CHILDREN'S CHURCH
Our Sunday Morning Children's Church provides opportunities to children to worship through song and communion. Teaching is done to reach children of all different learning styles. Elements include video, reading, and hands-on crafts. All activities are focused on pointing children to Jesus and reinforcing the idea that all children are known, valued, and loved by their creator. All volunteers must complete and pas a comprehensive background check, provide references, and interview with staff members. All activities are monitored by Northfield staff.
SAFETY
Northfield is committed to the safety and comfort of all children in our ministries. All volunteers who work with children must pass a comprehensive background check, provide references, and interview with staff. All volunteers are trained as to what to in an emergency.
During both church services on Sunday morning and also on Wednesday Family Night we offer an environment that we have created especially for infants and toddlers. We know things are busy at this stage of life and children are exploring and growing in amazing ways. Stop in and check out our up to date and fun nurseries.
NORTHFIELD NIGHT
Wednesday night offers a chance for children to experience learning in a small group setting and worship in an intergenerational setting. Groups are based on age and gender. This allows for relationships to be built within the groups and also provides the children with another adult that can speak into their lives. After a time of worship and some fun with games, the kids break out into their groups to dive into the scriptures and stories for the night. This structure also provides the children with a voice. A safe place to ask questions and grow in their faith. This environment sets the stage for children to begin to take ownership of their faith and relationship with Jesus. As with all our other Children's ministries, all volunteers must pass a comprehensive background check, provide references, and interview with a staff member prior to working with any children. All activities are monitored by Northfield staff.
